The here and now!

Updated: Sep 6, 2018

So here I am! I've been thinking about doing this for some years, many have suggested Its a good idea so where to start...

Where am I at now?

Well I currently have a a diagnosis of Indeterminate Colitis, I have had my entire colon removed and after a year of having a temporary Ileostomy Stoma (February

2016), I took the plunge to have a JPouch created and connected in one surgery in August 2017.

I was one of the few people so far to ever have this procedure done in a single incision one step operation. It was a huge challenge and successful.

I have suffered ever since with Chronic Cufftis and acidic output, which currently has me on 12-15 Loperimide a day, Prednisolone and Salofalk suppositories daily, Permanent antibiotics currently rotating Ciprofloxacin and Coamoxicalv every few weeks, Buscopan, Omeprezole and Codine as needed as well as numerous wind management remedies. This is just the bowel medicine, not to mention all else I need to manage the side effects, Asthma and MCAS.

So where am I now? still fighting, mid investigations with my specialist at St Marks Hospital, writing about all I can to make sense and help myself and others.

I will cover many things in my blog over the coming months, including surgery, compilations, Past and present, remedies and so much more.

My hope is to see the light through it all and come out the other end better and one day, well enough to enjoy life to its fullest, pain free and alive!
